Following Christian's victory in the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in London with Checker two weeks ago, he was able to bring another top placing back to Riesenbeck from Valkenswaard in the saddle of Cepano Baloubet, the son of Chaman. Only two pairs remained faultless in the demanding course of the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix. Christian and Cepano Baloubet had to accept a slight mistake at jump 6, but thanks to their fast time, they still managed to finish 5th in the Grand Prix. This placing allows Christian to continue collecting valuable points for the overall standings, where he now ranks 3rd after 10 of 16 stages.

Philipp and Callao L secured the first placing for Team Beerbaum on Friday morning in the 2* tour class over 145 cm. The 8-year-old gelding completed a fast and clear round, which earned a 4th place in the opening class. In Sunday's 2* Grand Prix, the pair once again completed a clear round and qualified for the subsequent jump-off. 17 of the 74 starting pairs remained penalty-free in the first round and were able to compete for victory in the jump-off. A knockdown by Philipp and Callao L prevented a top placing, and so the Riesenbeck pair finished in 10th place in the 2* Grand Prix of Valkenswaard.

The 8-year-old Viki van Gogh, who had already completed a clear round in the 2* Medium Tour two-phase 140cm class on Friday, impressed on Saturday with a confident round in the 2* Grand Tour over 145 cm and finished in fifth place.

Next weekend, Christian will travel to Brussels for the CSIO5* Stephex Masters, and in just three weeks, the next stage of the LGCT will take place in his hometown of Riesenbeck. Tickets for the only German stage of the LGCT and GCL can be purchased here: Tickets
