Germany wins the 3* Longines EEF Nations Cup Mannheim

Last weekend, Philipp W. traveled with Team Riesenbeck International powered by Horse Gym to the Global Champions League in Shanghai. After a slow start in the GCL stage with the team, the weekend ended well for Philipp on Sunday. In the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix, Oreo D.R. showed a confident clear round in his first 5* Grand Prix and qualified for the subsequent jump-off. Even with the first rail of the combination coming down and a fault at the Shanghai skyline wall in the jump off, the pair finished in 13th place.

Christian, who is now back in Germany after his time in the USA, competed in Mannheim on the weekend. The 8-year-old Viki van Gogh impressed in the Youngster Tour with two clear rounds on Saturday and Monday. In the final over 1.45m on Tuesday, the pair were included in the 19 out of 40 horses that went clear to qualify for the jump-off. A fast clear round from Christian and Viki van Gogh meant a well-earned 5th place in Mannheim.

Christian and Chageorge won the 3* Longines EEF Nations Cup with Team Germany and were able to deliver two fabulous clear rounds. It was the 10-year-old son of Chacco-Blue’s first outing for the German team. The triumphant German team included Jörne Sprehe, Gerrit Nieberg and Sophie Hinners. Silver and bronze were awarded to Switzerland and France.

The final highlight of the four days at the Maimarkt show in Mannheim for Christian was the 3* Grand Prix on Tuesday. 55 pairs had qualified on the previous days for the last jumping competition of the tournament. As in the Nations Cup on Sunday, Christian was at the start with Chageorge and showed a confident ride without any faults. It was one fault for the pair in the jump-off, which ultimately resulted in 9th place in the Grand Prix of Mannheim.

It was another successful weekend for Team Beerbaum in Shanghai and Mannheim. After a weekend off for our riders and horses, Philipp heads to the CSI5* in Windsor and Christian travels with Team Riesenbeck International powered by Horse Gym to the Longines Global Champions Tour in Madrid.

Victory for Team Germany in the 3* Longines EEF Nations Cup of Mannheim
