Last week, Christian and Philipp competed in the Longines Global Champions Tour in Rabat, while James and Ciaran travelled to Herning for the CSI3*.
Longines Global Champions Tour – Rabat
Philipp got off to a successful start to the show weekend on Friday. Riding the 11-year-old stallion Oreo D.R., he secured an excellent third place in the CSI5* jumping competition over 155cm. In the demanding fault-and-time jumping competition with a total of 45 participants, the pair impressed with a fast and faultless round.
On Friday afternoon, another CSI5* competition over 160cm was on the agenda – this time, both Philipp and Christian were at the start. Christian and the 11-year-old Cepano Baloubet showed a fast and faultless round and secured the victory. Philipp and Oreo D.R. also delivered a strong round, but had to accept a pole down.
On Sunday, Philipp continued in the CSI5* over 150cm. With the 10-year-old Karaldo, he showed a very fast round, but one mistake narrowly prevented him from placing.
CSI3* – Herning
James and Ciaran each traveled to Herning with four horses. Both rode two horses in the CSI3*, as well as one horse each in the CSIU25 and CSI1*.
On Wednesday, James already had two confident clear rounds with Honduras La Silla in the KINGSLAND CSI3* Medium Tour over 140cm and with Zendaya 5 in the CSIYH1* over 120cm. Ciaran also remained faultless in the same competitions – with Casalla Blue PS over 140cm and with Taggi 25 over 120cm. Ciaran's round with Casalla Blue PS in the CSI3 Medium Tour was a highlight, securing him second place with a fast and faultless performance. On Saturday, Ciaran and Casalla Blue PS impressed once again: in the AVIAR CSI3* Medium Tour Trophy over 145cm, they won with a jump-off time over a second quicker than the second-placed rider James also put in strong performances throughout the weekend. On Friday, he achieved a very good sixth place with Elzandor Z in the PAVO CSI3* Big Tour over 150cm. At the end of the show weekend, he took third place with Dia Chapila PS in the KINGSLAND EY CUP U25 over 145cm on Sunday.
