He is finally available to breeders again: we are talking about the Olympic-successful Darshan, who comes from one of the most valuable French performance bloodlines and is closely related to the reigning two-time European Championship silver medalist Hello Folie under Scott Brash (GBR).

From a first, limited breeding season, Darshan produced top-level horses at an exceptionally high rate at the very beginning of his career. Among them are the 1.60 m jumper Dancing Queen (Lars Kersten/NED), Dori (Jake Ward/GBR), Flying High de la Rivière (Sultan Ahmed Saleh Al Tabali/UAE), and the licensed son Oak Grove’s Double O Seven (Harm Lahde).

The OS premium stallion Darshan won silver at the 2017 World Championships for Young Jumping Horses (6-year-olds) under Harm Lahde and also qualified for the finals in Lanaken as a five- and seven-year-old. With Mohamed Talaat, he was part of the Egyptian team that placed eleventh at the Tokyo Olympic Games. His record further includes team silver and individual bronze at the Mediterranean Games, as well as placings in Grand Prix and Nations Cup competitions, the Global Champions Tour, and World Ranking classes. Darshan is currently continuing his highly successful career with our team rider James Connors Smyth (IRL).

Through his sire, the team World Champion and outstanding sire Diamant de Semilly (Eric Levallois/FRA), and his dam sire, Olympic champion and three-time World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet (Rodrigo Pessoa/BRA), Darshan combines the very finest of French performance breeding. His dam, Shiva de Nantuel, was successful up to 1.45 m classes and also produced the full brother Gerico de Nantuel (1.50 m jumping) and the half-brother Ice Cream de Nantuel (by Luidam; 1.40 m jumping). From this mare line, which traces back to the famous Thoroughbred line No. 5, also descend the licensed stallion Candy de Nantuel (Pénélope Leprévost/FRA) as well as top sport horses such as Rahmannshof’s Cumana (Sören von Rönne), Cobald du Nantuel (Philippe Rozier/FRA), Océane de Nantuel (Michel Hercart/FRA), Foxy de la Roque (Viktor Bettendorf/LUX / Karl Cook/USA), and the two-time European Championship eventer Tatchou (Nicolas Touzaint/FRA).
