Zinedine, ridden by Ludger Beerbaum, collected numerous wins and placings, first in the international Youngster Tours of Rotterdam (NED), Aachen, Münster, and Paderborn. This was followed by runner-up finishes in the Grand Prix events of Paris (FRA) and London (GBR), as well as fourth and fifth place finishes in the Grand Prix of Chantilly (FRA) and Shanghai (CHN), along with further top results at World Cup shows in Zurich (SUI), Stuttgart, and Leipzig.

Right from the start, Zinedine’s offspring exceeded even the highest expectations. From his very first crop, he produced Zineday—Vice European Champion, Global Champions League winner, and Olympic competitor with Philipp Weishaupt.
Zinedream, ridden by David Will—OS licensing champion and one of twelve licensed sons of Zinedine—won the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi (UAE). There are other offspring already successful up to 1.60m level include Zealand with Jens Baackmann, Zidan with Eoin McMahon (IRL), Zinano G with Tim Rieskamp-Goedeking, as well as Zeppelin and Zac S.

His sire, Guidam (by Quidam de Revel), produced numerous top-level sport horses and was named Stallion of the Year in the Netherlands in 1996.

His dam, Unadonja, was successful herself up to 1.45m with Shane Sweetnam (IRL), and also produced the 1.60m jumper Orwell SCF (by Diktator van de Boslandhoeve), ridden by Spencer Smith and Daisy Farish (USA), as well as several other sport horses.

His Holsteiner dam sire, Heartbreaker, ranked for many years among the top ten sires in the WBFSH rankings of the world’s best jumping stallions.

In the third generation appears the Holsteiner stallion Burggraaf (by Landgraf I–Cor de la Bryère).

Zinedine’s first crop of foals calls for a drumroll! “Foals with a very positive vibrancy, sufficient power and the necessary elasticity”, said Westphalian’s Breeding Director, Wilken Treu, obviously impressed. The highly refined and wonderfully long-legged foals also have excellent characters and horse fans all over the world have taken notice. Zinedine made a really spectacular debut as stallion. Right from his first foal year he presented the winner of the OS licensing in Vechta, who was later offered at the stallion market for the top prize of 215.000 Euros. Also at other licensing dates, outstandingly jumping sons of Zinedine have been part of the stallion collections. A daughter won the free-jumping competition in Verden.
