While Philipp W. travelled to the Netherlands again last weekend to compete in the CSI4* in Valkenswaard, the other riders from Team Beerbaum remained in Münsterland. Ciaran competed in the neighbouring town Neuenkirchen, while Philipp H. and Christian travelled to Münster-Handorf for Westphalian Week.

The tournament weekend in Münster began for Philipp on Wednesday with a placing in the preliminary round of the 115cm (L class) Westphalian Championships for 5-year-old horses, with Comme le père's son Chase. The success continued in the first round of the Westphalian Championships for 6-year-old horses over 120cm, with Colestus offspring Circle of Friends coming second.

In the 120cm M* class, Daytona put in a confident performance and secured her ticket to the Al Shira'aa Young Horses  Show Jumping Championships with a score of 8.1.

On Thursday afternoon, Christian competed with the 8-year-old Viki van Gogh in a Youngster 135cm M** class, where the pair narrowly missed out on a placing despite a clear round. In the subsequent 140cm S* speed class, the pair were able to bring a ribbon back to Riesenbeck.

Friday commenced with the 4-year-old Westphalian Championships qualification class, in which Elliot O (score 8.5) and Forlee's son Faolo (score 8.4) came second and third under Philipp.

On Sunday, Philipp competed in the finals of the Westphalian Championships for 4- and 5-year-old horses. In the final for 4-year-olds, Elliot O was unfortunately unable to repeat his outstanding performance in the qualifiers. Despite a harmonious ride, the pair had to accept a knockdown. Faolo, by Forlee and out of a Polydor dam bred by Franz-Georg Ottmann, on the other hand, impressed across the board in the final and was rewarded with a score of 8.6. This secured third place for the pair in the Westphalian Championships.

Chase (Comme le père x Cornet Obolensky), bred by Wulf Schumacher, also impressed the judges in the Westphalian Championships for 5-year-olds, as he was rewarded with a score of 8.6 in the final round. In the jump-off between the best 5 horses, Chase put in a strong round and received a score of 8.8. Resulting in third place in the Westphalian Championships.

Double victory for Ciaran in Neuenkirchen

On Friday, Ciaran competed with the two 5-year-old youngsters Zados R and Kadanz van de Krommeweg Z in a 110cm L class L and impressed the judges across the board. With scores of 8.6 and 8.5, Ciaran took home the victory in both divisions. A successful day of competition for the young Irishman and the two youngsters.

CSI4* Valkenswaard

In Valkenswaard, Netherlands, the weekend also began on Friday with the first two placings for Team Beerbaum. In a 2* tour 145cm class, Lady Concern du Rezidal completed a fast and clear round, which was rewarded with 5th place out of 75 starters. In the opening 4* Tour jumping competition over 150 cm, Kilmister placed 11th with a rather calm but penalty-free round. On Saturday, it was Karaldo who brought home a placing. In a 2* competition over 145 cm, the 10-year-old son of Harley placed 8th. In Sunday's 4* Grand Prix over 155 cm, Philipp opted for Kilmister, who had already remained faultless in Friday's opening jumping competition. The pair had to accept a knockdown in the demanding Grand Prix course. However, thanks to their fast time, they still managed to secure a placing in the 4* Grand Prix of Valkenswaard.

Next weekend, Philipp W. will travel to the CSI4* in Opglabbeek at Sentower Park in Belgium, while Christian and Ciaran will travel to London for the Longines Global Champions Tour.
