While the European Championship for Children, Juniors, and Young Riders were in full swing at home in Riesenbeck, our riders traveled to the Netherlands to compete at the Summer Festival in Valkenswaard, as well as to Roxel and Mesum.
In the Youngster Tour in Valkenswaard, the 7-year-old Coffee Shock under Philipp W. impressed with two top placings, finishing second and fifth. In the qualification for the 4* Grand Prix over 145cm, Kilmister delivered a clear round and secured a placement. The only 8-year-old Lady Concern du Rezidal also brought home a ribbon from the qualification class for the 2* Grand Prix.
After already securing a placement in the 2* Tour opening class over 145cm on Friday, Callao L once again showed his class in the Grand Prix on Sunday. Thirteen of the 52 competitors qualified for the jump-off, which was ultimately won by Jur Vrieling on Helwell du Chabus. Callao L and Philipp also went clear in the jump-off and finished in an excellent fourth place.
Meanwhile, in Roxel, several of our young horses competed. On Thursday, Philipp H. and Unique delivered a harmonious round in the young horse jumping class over 120cm (M*), earning a score of 8.4 and placing third. Zendaya followed closely behind with a score of 8.3 and placed fifth. In the following two-phase class over 130cm (M**), Team Beerbaum secured three more placements: Christian with Cee Kay and Viki van Gogh, and Philipp H. with Zendaya, the daughter of Zinedine.
To conclude the Roxeler Reitertage, Philipp H. presented Comme le père in the two-phase jumping S* classcover 140cm. With a clear round and a quick second phase, they earned eighth place. Our stallion remains available to breeders this season via fresh semen.
In Mesum, Philipp H. took our youngest up-and-coming horses into the arena on Saturday. The 4-year-old Elliot O placed in the class A* young horse jumping class. The 5-year-old Donna Stakkata finished second in the A** class and sixth in the L class, from which the also 5-year-old Daytona also brought home a ribbon.
Meanwhile, in Riesenbeck, it was time for Sofie and Christian to pack their bags and head to A Coruña for the European Show Jumping Championship. Together with Just be Gentle, Christian is once again proud to represent Germany at a major championship this year.
