While James was competing at the traditional indoor show in Münster last weekend, Philipp had already begun his second week of competition in Qatar on Thursday.

The weekend in Doha got off to a successful start with a placing for Callao L in a 5* two-phase jumping competition over 1.40m, after the horse had already achieved three placings from three starts the previous week. In the evening, another placing followed for Chaquitos PS in a 5* ranking class over 1.50m. With a fast and clear round, Philipp and Chaquitos PS secured fourth place. Friday began with a victory for Team Beerbaum, as Philipp won a 3* competition over 1.45m with Karaldo. Callao L once again finished in the placings in his class, and Aberdeen Z narrowly missed qualifying for the jump-off with just one time fault for exceeding the allowed time, but still managed to place in the 3* tour over 1.40m. The show week in Doha concluded on Sunday with three placings from three starts for Philipp and his horses. In the morning, Aberdeen Z placed once again, and in the subsequent 3* Grand Prix with jump-off over 1.50m, Philipp chose the 9-year-old Lady Concern du Rezidal and secured a spot in the jump-off with a clear round in the first phase. Fifteen of the 47 combinations qualified for the jump-off, and Philipp and Lady Concern du Rezidal finished fourth with a fast, clear round.

In the following 5* Grand Prix with jump-off over 1.60m, Philipp opted for Oreo D.R. and also qualified for the jump-off in this class. In the end, it was the fastest time by more than a second for the Riesenbeck pair, but one rail fell in the jump-off, resulting in sixth place for the duo.

At the Agravis Cup in Münster, James started the weekend on Friday with a victory in a class for seven-year-old horses over 1.35m. He competed with Oberon, a son of Ogano Sitte bred by Erich Stevens, and secured a convincing win in the second section against a field of 53 combinations. Oberon also impressed in the final of the Youngster Trophy, where a clear and fast second phase in the competition over 1.40m earned the pair second place, finishing just behind Christian Ahlmann and Toemme de Regor Z, who had already won the first section the day before.

To conclude the show weekend, James competed with the 10-year-old Elzandor Z in the Grand Prix of Münster, a jumping competition over 1.55m with a jump-off. Forty-five combinations started in the most challenging class of the show, and only eight qualified for the jump-off. Elzandor Z jumped the course confidently, but a single time fault prevented the Riesenbeck pair from advancing to the jump-off. Nevertheless, it was a placing and ninth place in the Grand Prix of Münster for the pair.

Next up for Team Beerbaum World Cup event in Leipzig where Ciaran will be competing.
