After his first appearances for Team Riesenbeck International in Miami and Mexico, Ciaran enjoyed a weekend off from competition, while Philipp W. and James travelled to nearby “Hagen am Teutoburger Wald” for the traditional show “Horses & Dreams”. The show week kicked off on Wednesday with the Youngster Tour, where the 7-year-old Zendaya by our stallion Zinedine delivered a great performance with a clear round. In the second class of the Youngster Tour, Zendaya and James once again finished on zero penalties in both phases, securing their first placing on Thursday. In Friday’s final, the mare by Zinedine also remained clear in both phases and achieved another placing thanks to her fast time. A very successful weekend without a single fault for this promising 7-year-old.
Aberdeen Z and Philipp already secured a placing on Wednesday in the opening class of the 2* Tour over 1.35m. In the first qualifier for the 2* Grand Prix, James and Beryl des Pres delivered a fast and clear round. Although the pair have not been competing together for long, they immediately secured second place and thus qualified for the 2* Grand Prix. Philipp and Kilmister also went clear, but their time was not fast enough for a placing. In the opening class of the 3* Tour, both Beerbaum Stables riders also placed with clear rounds – James finished eighth with Elzandor Z, while Philipp and Callao L took 13th place.
With Dia Chapila PS, James competed in the first qualifier for the 3* Grand Prix and finished 14th out of more than 60 competitors without any faults. In the 2* Grand Prix, Philipp and Kilmister were one of only seven combinations to complete the first round clear and qualify for the jump-off. However, Philipp decided not to compete in the jump-off and thus finished seventh overall.
A successful weekend for Team Beerbaum at Horses & Dreams lies behind us, and this weekend the Longines Global Champions Tour continues with the next leg, which this time stops in Shanghai. Philipp W. will be competing for Beerbaum Stables, representing Team Riesenbeck International together with his brother Max Weishaupt and Emanuele Camilli.
