Ciarán and Christians Carado win in Rome

Ciarán and Philipp travelled to the Italian capital last weekend with the Riesenbeck International team. Due to the bad weather in Rome, the schedule had to be changed. The Global Champions League did not get underway as planned on Friday. Initially, the start of the competition was postponed, before it was eventually moved to Saturday. However, this did not unsettle our team, as Philipp and Marco, who also competed for the team, secured another podium finish with just one rail down across both rounds. You can read the full report on the Rome leg here:

On Sunday morning, Ciarán competed in a 1.45 m class of the 5* Tour after unfortunately missing out on qualification for the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix. Riding Christians Carado, he beat 35 other combinations to win the class with a clear round and a lead of more than one second over Sanne Thijssen.

Late Entry Riesenbeck

Straight after the Longines Global Champions Tour in Rome, the Beerbaum Stables team continued its campaign at the national show in Riesenbeck. On Tuesday, Ciarán and the six-year-old Zilana secured a placing in the Young Horse Cup over 1.30 m.

Wednesday was all about the youngest horses. In the first class of the day, a 1.05 m young horse jumping class (Class A**), Max placed with the four-year-old Leah von Forlee, earning a score of 8.1. In the 1.15 m young horse jumping class (Class L), the five-year-old Come True de Maya (Comme il faut NRW x Lord Pezi) impressed under James and was rewarded with a score of 8.4. James also secured a placing with Faolo (Forlee x Polydor), earning a score of 8.2.

In the 1.20 m young horse jumping class (Class M*), Filippo placed with the six-year-old Chac Star VDB in de Bus, receiving a score of 8.3.

Following the success at 5* level in Rome, the young horses also delivered convincing performances in Riesenbeck. The Beerbaum Stables team will next compete at the international 2* show in Riesenbeck from 28 to 31 October.
